Meet Shuk, one of the Motoskate drivers. He was born in Muheta, in the Uvira district. He did not have the opportunity to complete high school because his parents could not afford his education. As a result, he married at an early age.
Shuk has a large family of 11 people, including his wife, their nine children, and himself. He joined the Motoskate team in August 2023 and lives in the Rugembe community in Uvira city, Democratic Republic of Congo. Working with Motoskate Business has transformed his life mentally, spiritually, and socially.
Before joining Motoskate, Shuk lived in Rugembe with his family, struggling to make ends meet. He was jobless, which made it difficult to provide for his family's basic needs. His children could not attend school, and life was extremely challenging. The stress and lack of occupation led him to develop an addiction to alcohol. His family was unstable, and conflicts between him and his wife were frequent due to the hardships they faced.
Since being employed as a permanent driver at Motoskate Business, his life has completely changed. He is now able to provide for his family's needs, ensuring his children can attend school and receive proper healthcare. His home is stable, and there is peace and harmony within his family. He has also overcome his alcohol addiction, which has brought a total transformation to both his life and the well-being of his loved ones.
A quote by Shuk: “Motoskate business has transformed my life and family. I am respected in my family and I have value in our community. My kids don’t lack anything to eat and they go to school. God bless CCC and Motoskate.”
